What we collect
When you create an account, we store your email address and a hashed version of your password. We never store your password in plain text.
When you use MindSpacer, we store the knowledge items, subjects, and review history you create. If you use cloud backup, this data is stored on our servers so it can sync across your devices.
We collect basic, anonymous usage analytics. Things like which features are used most and how often the app is opened. This helps us decide what to work on next. We do not track you across other apps or websites.
What we don't collect
- We don't sell your data to anyone
- We don't run third-party advertising trackers
- We don't read your knowledge items or study content
- We don't share your email with marketing lists
How we use your data
Your data is used to provide the MindSpacer service: storing your cards, scheduling reviews, syncing across devices, and improving the product. That's it.
Where your data is stored
Your data is stored on servers located in the United Kingdom. Backups are encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard security practices including HTTPS for all connections, bcrypt password hashing, and JWT-based authentication.
Data retention
Your data is kept for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed within 30 days.
Your rights
You can export or delete your data at any time through the app settings. Under UK GDPR, you also have the right to access, rectify, or restrict processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
Cookies
The MindSpacer website uses no third-party cookies. We may use essential cookies for authentication if you access MindSpacer through a web browser.
Changes to this policy
If we make significant changes to this policy, we'll notify you via the app or by email. Minor wording changes may happen without notice.
